This is really a very small four string guitar. Tuned as the top four strings of a guitar - DGBE. Or with 're-entrant' tuning where the D is an octave higher. The size and shape is simply scaled down from my 1864 Torres model. Scale length is 480 mm. The uke shown in the photo is much played, and the finish has crazed, but it sounds very sweet.
All these models are tried and tested, but I'm open to trying something different - such as an extra long scale semi-baritone steel string, or a 'hybrid' nylon-string to suit players who normally play steel-string guitars. Or very short scale guitars - down to 615 mm, which is as small as you can go before it becomes a 'three-quarter size' guitar.
